Academic excellence is the demonstrated ability to perform, achieve, and excel in scholastic activities. Academic excellence has been identified with receiving high grades and superior performance

 

At Al Huda Islamic School, we have learned that academic excellence is more than just making good grades. It is challenging our students to reach maximum development of their intellectual capacities and skills.  Achieving academic excellence is a process of both formal and informal education. 

 

We teach our kids how to use the library and use it often, since it offers a wealth of information which can greatly enhance a classroom experience.  We also teach our kids how develop self-confidence, persistence and leadership abilities.  Our regular assembly reminders, drama classes and plays develop an attitude of social responsibility and an understanding of cultural and intellectual differences.

 

Academic excellence includes the memorization of Quran, excellence in Arabic Language (writing and reading), as well as excellence in Islamic studies.  Our students participate in honors and enrichment programs.  They learn efficient management of their time by balancing their academic programs and life style.
