Basketball at Al Huda
Anyone who has played the sport of basketball can attest to the greatness that can come out of this game. At Al Huda we take advantage of two basketball courts weather-resistant hoops to engage our students in the game. Whether one plays for a purpose, such as making a competition team or just for fun, basketball itself brings a ton of benefits into the lives of the students.
While most Islamic schools in Los Angeles do not have basketball leagues, Al Huda Islamic School is determined to keep the basketball game as major part of our PE program. Many of our students are playing for outside leagues, including leagues that are organized by adjacent ICH (Islamic Center of Hawthorne). Our modest basketball program is another simple task to provide entertainment for the kids, but what it can do in the long run is give the students reason to exercise as they grow up and transition into Middle School and high school.
